Work for Animals Australia

Relationships Manager

Relationships Manager

Location: North Melbourne
Role type: Full-time, fixed term 12 months with view to permanency

The Role

The Relationships Manager will work closely with the Director of Development to develop and implement a robust bequest and major donor program. This is an exciting new role that will build long-term meaningful relationships with high value donors, and support financial growth and sustainability of the organisation.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge/technical expertise – Your experience working in this space ensures you are comfortable with all aspects of the donor journey from identifying donor leads, making asks, conducting visits through to liaising with solicitors and estate management. Your knowledge gives you the confidence to develop and implement an effective donor acquisition and retention program.
  • Communication & relationship building – Thoughtful. Compassionate. Empathetic. You have sound judgement enabling you to adapt to different situations, and deal with a diverse range of people. Naturally insightful, you can effectively navigate through sensitive, sometimes emotional situations with grace and diplomacy. You value donors above all else, and your genuine care and interest forges lasting personal connections between individuals and the organisation.
  • Flexible and adaptable – Dynamic, your initiative sees you driving the program, managing your own schedule, working efficiently and to a high standard. Your organisation skills will help you keep focused and stay on track. You’re agile and equally comfortable working independently or supervising a small, diverse and extremely busy team.

And then of course, there's knowledge about who we are and what we do. You successfully demonstrate your true understanding and commitment to the objectives and values of Animals Australia.

So, if you want to add your voice, to our voice, and speak up for the voiceless, then we'd love to hear from you.
