Why McDonald's? As the biggest user of eggs among Australian fast food companies, McDonalds buys some 91 million eggs every year. Every one of them laid by a battery hen.
Why McDonalds?
Because Aussie hens suffer, too. McDonald's stopped supporting the cage egg industry across the EU and the UK years ago. Does McDonald's Australia think Aussie battery hens suffer any less?
Because Aussie hens suffer, too.
Because of double standards. No-one is asking Macca's to change its policy — only to start abiding by their existing one that states animals should be "free from cruelty, abuse, and neglect".
Because of double standards.
Because they didn't think you cared. "We have not seen a significant response from customers that would support making a move forward at this time" — McDonald's actually said that. In 2014.
Because they didnt think you cared.
Because the writing is on the wall. For 80+ consecutive days, Macca's' Facebook wall has been inundated with comments from customers appealing to them to stop buying cage eggs.
Because the writing is on the wall.
Because animals don't deserve to be abused for profit. The battery cage is just about the cruellest farming device ever invented. Its continued use gives corporations a license to profit from the abuse of animals.
Because animals dont deserve to be abused for profit.
Because laws are failing animals. While animals raised for food are denied the same legal protections from cruelty afforded to our pets, it's up to retailers, corporations, and us — to drive change!
Because laws are failing animals.
Because there are no more excuses. When it comes to using cage eggs, McDonald's has plenty of excuses. But these kids achieved something we couldn't — they've left the fast food giant speechless.
Because there are no more excuses.
Because we can make a difference. The day that McDonald's agrees to phase out cage eggs, millions of hens destined for battery cages will be spared a life of severe confinement and deprivation.
Because we can make a difference.
Let's send Macca's a message they can't ignore! Please give an urgent donation today, to be a part of an unprecedented TV message showing McDonald's that Aussies are serious about getting hens out of cages.

Donate to keep this on TV!

Here's the plan: In defending their use of cage eggs, McDonald's has put forward a long list of excuses. But it seems in children, they know these excuses won't wash. So we urgently need to raise funds to get this on national TV — and keep it there — until McDonald's gets the message. A single donation of $100 can reach nearly 10,000 people! Are you in?

YES! I want to help fund public awareness ads calling on McDonald's to stop supporting battery cage cruelty, with a one-time gift of:
