Factory farms exist only because unsuspecting consumers—many of whom genuinely care about animal welfare—financially support these facilities by purchasing their ‘products’.
For the sake of millions of forgotten animals, for the environment, and for our own health, we can choose to begin a new tradition this year—one of peace, of kindness, and good will to all living beings.

Pigs are known to be one of the most intelligent animals on the planet—smarter than dogs, and as intelligent as three-year-old children! They can recognise their own name, will go to great lengths to protect friends and loved ones, wag their tails when excited, and even enjoy playing video-games! This Christmas, tens of thousands of pregnant and mother pigs will be locked in barren metal cages barely bigger than their own bodies. Factory farms confine these animals so severely that they are unable to take more than a step forward or backward, and cannot even turn around. Mothers watch on helplessly as their babies are torn from them and have their teeth broken, their tails cut off and males are castrated—all without pain relief. The endless suffering of these animals on factory farms is the real cost of 'Christmas hams'.
