GUILTY: 'Leading' NSW greyhound figures exported dogs to cruel treatment overseas

Found guilty of 464 charges, these greyhound breeders and trainers bought and sold unwanted Australian dogs in a "thriving secret business" — sending hundreds to suffer and die in Macau, China, Vietnam and Dubai.

After we cracked the lid on brutal 'live-baiting' and mass killings in Australian greyhound racing, our investigators uncovered another dark side to this industry: Australian greyhounds exported to certain death in China and Macau.

Now four high profile NSW greyhound industry figures have been found guilty of this appalling trade in cruelty.

Even the industry regulator admits its rules are difficult to enforce, citing "inadequate Australian government export controls" as a barrier to change for dogs.
