Animals Australia’s
donor charter

We are committed

Animals Australia is the only national animal protection organisation that actively exposes animal abuse and promotes a cruelty-free lifestyle. Our small team of experienced campaigners and investigators works tirelessly and effectively to raise public awareness, with an uncompromised vision to end the abuse of animals in Australia and beyond.

We use donations wisely

Animals Australia is known for its strategic campaign initiatives, and multi-faceted approach to fighting animal cruelty which includes tactical investigations, television exposés, attention-grabbing public awareness campaigns, and ongoing grassroots programs. Operations are conducted from one small head office which we ensure runs as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible at all times.

We act with integrity

Animals Australia is recognised as an authority in animal protection and maintains official positions on federal and state animal welfare advisory committees to represent the interests of animals. We will never exaggerate our claims, and promise to always deliver on our stated intentions in line with our vision to end animal cruelty. As an incorporated organisation we also provide annual audited accounts to the Victorian Department of Justice.

We value your feedback

We are always delighted to hear from our members and supporters, and welcome feedback at all times. If you are ever unhappy with anything we have done, we also welcome any complaint you wish to make, and promise to deal with it promptly and seriously.

We respect your privacy

We take every reasonable measure to protect your privacy in accordance with our privacy policy. We will never share information you entrust to us with any third parties, and will honour any request you make not to be contacted by us in a particular way.

Foreign donations more than $100

If you intend to donate the equivalent of $100 Australian dollars or more from overseas, then Animals Australia can only accept your gift if the terms of your gift are that the money must not be used by Animals Australia for the purposes of incurring electoral expenditure, or the creation or communication of electoral matter. The money must not be used for the dominant purpose of influencing the way electors vote in an election. This is in accordance with our obligations under subsection 302D(1) of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918.
