WA rallies against shark cull!

The WA government has introduced a controversial new policy that effectively sanctions a cull of sharks off the coast of WA. The Barnett government is pursuing this policy despite the fact that great white sharks are a threatened and protected species, and the fact experts say the cull won't prevent shark attacks.

Concerned Western Australians will be rallying at Cottesloe Beach on Saturday, 4 January to call for an end to the shark cull. This rally is being organised by local activists and supported by conversationists, animal protection groups, surfers, divers, snorkellers, and members of the general public. Anyone is welcome to attend!

Where: Cottesloe Beach (meet to the right of the Indiana Teahouse, heading towards the City)
When: 10am, 4th January
